| I'm enlisted in the Nebraska Army National Guard (754th Chemical Company). I'm 20 years old and am about to embark on a journey to college at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln (UNL) as a Computer Science major. | Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

This project is really neat. If extraterrestrial life does exist, who's to say that they are more advanced than we are? Or who's to say that they even care that we exist.
But seriously... if there is an "alien" civilization out there, perhaps they would send a radio signal. Perhaps they would be more advanced than that. And even if we do get their "signal", who knows if they are still around. Perhaps they perished hundreds of years ago and we're just now getting their distress call. At least we would know they existed at one time I guess. |
