Personal background |
I live in Connecticut, USA. I'm a college professor, and my field is literary theory. However, I've had a lifelong interest in physics, cosmology, and extraterrestrial life. I teach a seminar on the literature of the paranormal. Of course, today, physics and what used to be called the "paranormal"are more and more similar. Curioser and curioser, you might say. |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
Given my profile above, I'm interested in being a small part of the search for ETI. My suggestion would be to have an easily accessible text or video that tells new non-scientists like me in layman's terms 1) what seti@home is doing as it runs on my computer 2) what the "points" are and 3) what teams are and why one would want to join. |
