Personal background
Well, I'll start saying that I like all kind of sports, games (electronic an others), talk with people (I can even discover ETs around me!), bla, bla, ...
I study Computer Programming Development in Cádiz, Spain. I'm getting close with the syntax of the 1 and the 0 ('till the cuantic computers come).
Meanwhile, due I'm studying the mornings and working in a cyberplace the afternoons, I leave my personal computer to SETI proyect, and 'cause I don't pay the power...
(If anybody want a SIMPLE program call me, in a few days I'll send it to you... :P)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Too many possibilities of contact, impossible to avoid. Beneficious or dangerous? Its going to happend, so lets be ready for anything. And the best way of being ready is to know before it happends.
Not any beacons. For a ET being, could be an offensive dot in nowhere, but better that than a "Elvis is alive" beacon. There are no interuniverse claim for "hello?", so I think this is the best way of being prepared...
... so may the force be with you.
