Personal background
Hey all,

I'm Jen.. I'm 28 and I live in Northern Ireland with my Husband and Daughter.

I'm not currently working due to disabilities, so i spend most of my time taking care of my family where i can and expanding my understanding on topics that interest, me such as Ancient cultures, the cycle of the sun and particle physics... oh yeah and touching up on my bad maths using Khan Academy.

All of these and more come in very handy when having conversations with my daughter about school projects as it helps her have a deeper understanding.

my love for these subjects comes from enjoying science at school but feeling as though the topics were very rarely covered in full detail.

I enjoy spending time outside when i can but most of the time you will find me plonked in-front of my PC indulging in research.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why do you run SETI@home?

I run SETI@Home because I have always felt that there is not enough money put into all types of scientific research, and data analyst and if I can help by allowing my computer to run software that will further our understand and discoveries then really the question should be why wouldn't you do it :)

What are your views about the project?

I really Like the foundations of the project as it is daring to do and look for the things that most of the global population want answered but are to afraid of what that may bring. its a gutsy move and i commend that founders of the project for doing it. i just hope you guys dont give up to soon.

Any suggestions?
my only suggestion would be to try and raise the profile of how people can help at home ... as if you get it out there you will find millions of people wanting and willing to help...
