I've been interested in this stuff since Chariots of Gods came out. I've worked as an IT consultant for the past thirty years. I got involved with computers in the late 60's. I've been involved with everything from mainframes, mini's - DEC-PDP's, VAX, AS\400 and of course PC's starting with 8088's onward. I enjoy building systems and my current expertise is Virtualization, but a year from retiring. I just spray foamed my barn and turned it into a year around high end woodworking shop, I build furniture. I enjoy fly fishing, pro and college hockey, F1 racing, life long musician and have a total fascination with ancient monolithic civilizations, I believe they are much older then they say and we didn't build or design them. I also subscribe to the theory that we have been genetically manipulated for thousands of years.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think it's a good time to put a lot of effort into the search, but I also wonder if that other intelligent life is already here, in fact I'm pretty sure it is. Maybe they're not traveling through space as we traditionally think of space travel but are using portals to move to and from? maybe they are seldom in normal space and is why chatter is nonexistant or they use a form of commutation so far advance from ours that we might as well be using two cans and a string?
