Personal background
I am from Tucson Arizona, USA.
My age changes from year to year, the thing I know for sure is that I keep having to add one to it.
I am the Operations Supervisor for a small computer company.
I enjoy computers (that's a given, Eh?!), remodeling houses, rebuilding old cars.
Oh yes, one other thing, I am not a robot!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1) Why do you run SETI@home?
I believe this be a worth while project.
a( I have a single Toshiba Satellite laptop that was given to me. I was told that Windows 7 was running slowly and the person did not want the machine any more. I wiped windows, installed Ubuntu 14.04, installed SETI@home, connected it to the Internet and placed it on the shelf. I do not use this machine for anything else.
b( Now I have a second laptop, it is also a Toshiba. Did the same thing to it and stuck it right next to the first one. Didn't want them to get lonely.
c( 4/16/16. Number three just added. A Compaq Notebook. The shelf is filling up.
d( 7/1/16. Number 4 added a couple three weeks ago. This time it is a Dell OptiPlex Desktop. It's going to host a web site soon but until then might as well let it do something useful. Maybe it can do both.

2) What are your views about the project?
Do you mean do I believe we will hear from others? I have no idea. I figure it's like playing Lotto. If you don't play you can't win.

3) Any suggestions?
No suggestions... but tell me, what else can my three Laptops and a desktop do for you? You know what I have noticed? It doesn't seem to matter what computer I use.

Note to self, don't lose...
