| Hi, I'm a 24 year old male, living in a small village in middle of the english country side, in a county called Hertfordshire. Some of the things i like doing are, eating out, Cinema and home movies, going to the local pub!, playing pool in a local team, driving and watching motor sport! all the normal thing you would expect a 24 year old to be doing!. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| I have been with SETI for some time now, and my old PC has completed over 50 data units thats 3708 hrs of my computers time!. I try to leave my PC running as much as possible, and have SETI running as i screen saver. I truly hope that one day we find a signal from another world!, but i do honestly worry about what would happen if we had the technology to reply to such a signal, what would a greater intelligents think of a message from beings as stupid as humans!?. Would they treat us like we treat lab mice? or would they just want to be friends?. And i we could send a message back, would their be anyone still around to listen to it? it takes a very long time for a radio wave to travel to our closes solar system! and then a signal would have to be sent back hopeing that someone on earth would still be about!. Hopefully a passing alien space ship will intercept our signal and maybe pay us a visit!! Hmmm but would that be a good idear!? Anyway maybe one day we will find out the answers to these questions, and hopefully it will be in our life times thanks to SETI!, everyone keep up the good work, their is a whole universe out their to discover!. |
