Personal background |
I'm a web geek currently living in Anchorage, Alaska. While I enjoy the natural beauty of Alaska, I'm probably the only person living here who doesn't fish, hike, hunt, or ski! Where else in the world can you work where you can see whales, volcanoes and the Aurora Borealis from your office window?
I've always been a science nut, particularly interested in physics and astronomy, fell in love with computing at an early age and have been fortunate enough to have a job that allows me to explore the field without bounds.
I run SETI@home on an array of obsolete hardware, hence my 30 hours per work unit, but heck, what else am I going to do with all of those junkie machines?!?! I can't remember where I first learned about SETI@home, but signed up early and continually annoy my co-workers by asking if they'd like to install a particular screensaver...
Employers in the Seattle area: I'm looking for a great job!

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
What I love about this project is that it doesn't matter what your opinion is concerning the existence of extraterrestrial life - the important thing is to examine the data.
