| I am a retired corporate lawyer, working as a consultant. I am a US citizen, but Ihave lived in Belgium since 1989. My interests are varied, and include computers, science fiction, the conquest of space. Most of the work done on my main PC is business, but I also use it to maiontain a small collection ov audio and video files. |

I don't know if extraterrestrial life exists, but I'd rather that mankind find it if it does exist than vice versa. And if we don't look, we certainly won't find.
Transmit a beacon? It's a frightening idea. On the other hand, the radiation emissions from Earth should be obvious to any advanced civilization within, say, 50 light years; and that particular beacon continues to grow in intensity. |
