Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Philosophy, Metaphysics, Theology and Science are systems of Knowledge humans have invented and used to understand about the Universe.

Black Cat Analogy goes well for SETI@Home:

  • Philosophy is like being in a dark room and looking for a black cat.
  • Metaphysics is like being in a dark room and looking for a black cat that isn't here.
  • Theology is like being in a dark room and looking for a black cat that isn't there, and shouting "I found it!"
  • Science is like being in a dark room and looking for a switch. The light will reveal a cat... if there is one.

I feel lucky to live in time on Earth where we are witnessing such big scale collaborative Scientific project which never happened in known history. SETI@Home brings worlds together. I am carefully betting on the Drake's equation and Moore's Law.
I wish to see a SETI signal in this lifetime or i have to incarnate as alien somewhere in Universe. LOL ;)
