Hi my Name is Dallas (as in Texas) and i live in the city of Perth in Western Australia. I was originally from Sydney but moved to Perth when I was 9yrs old.
I am 44yrs old now and I joined Seti@home about 5yrs ago (2002) The reason I joined Seti@home was because I watched a movie called CONTACT With Jodie Foster and Matthew McConaughtey which i very much loved. The saying in the movie was If we are the only ones out there then its an aweful waste of space. So I thought why not see if there is any life out there and I joined to take part in what could be the most important thing man would ever do, find intelligent life outside our own world.
My hobbies are Computers and anything to do with them. I build and design them own 5 of them myself. I don't watch TV as my computer is my TV as such. I mostly watch DVD's,surf the net,play games, and chat to friends.
I am also into movies in a big way, I own some 950 DVD titles and I go to the movies when I can.
Is there life out There ? lets hope so! |

I run Seti@home because I want to be the person who finds life out there.
I started running Seti@home with the Classic version which I still have on my hard drive. I really like the old classic version i dunno why but it seams better than the new version.
I would like to be able to run the old version but it no longer works with the server.
It would be great if they set it up again so old timers like me could run it. |
