Post: Yes i did install as a service just as I had it when i was on xp. Post: Hello. I recently upgraded my OS to window 7 x64 from XP x86. Yes I know I'm still 6 years behind. I made no changes to any hardware. This was a clean Windows 7 install, not an upgrade. I have the latest GeForce 320.49 driver. My GPU was detected and working great before the new OS. Only thing I can think of is that I downloaded boinc version 7 rather than upgrading to 7 as I did when i still had XP. In attempt to fix this I have removed boinc altogether, then I tried just removing and re-adding seti@home. I tried resetting the project. None worked. What am I missing? Help would be appreciated. |

Post: The PC i have running boinc for seti on is an HP mini 210 which I know is not much, but anyway. My processor is a single core Atom 1.6ghz. Where do I make a change in boinc so it only handlss one workunit\ task at a time? I would see more units done in less time rather than two at a time taking twice as long. I know it's the same result, but it's taking down my daily average. Boinc has also crashed my laptop a few times as well and I wonder if the doube units has something to do with it? Suggestions for making the change in boinc would be nice. |

Post: LOL, I think my TI calculator has more processing ability than thing. 33 mhz was my lowest. I had it in dual board 4ft tall tower which was later converted to ATX. I use it to hide stuff in. What thief would look in there? |

Post: I think maybe it is the nostalgia of the cmd line that I miss. With windows, I hardly use a cmd line unless I'm doing an IPconfig. I rememeber when I first upgraded my puter to 66mhz from the old 33 and I thought I was hot stuff. I had some insainly low amount of ram and like a 100meg HD. I loaded up my graphics card with I think EDO so I could play all the sierra games faster. I guess I'm odd like that, but I still miss those days! |

Post: I was just wondering how many users have been lost since the change over to the BOINC software. Anybody know? I loved the cmd line version and never had a problem except when the wu server was down for 2or more days. I miss the old version. |
