1) Questions and Answers : Windows : Received 149 WU 7/18 (Message 1017429)

Checking my account today shows I received a total of 149 work units today and an additional 35 since 7/9/10. My computer shows only 4 and I usually get no more than 6. I'm not sure what's happening. Anyone have aby ideas? And if I'm broken, can it be corrected? Thanks.

I have one computer that receives AP workunits. It doesn't like them! I must stop Seti to use the computer for anything else. Is there a way for that computer to NOT receive AP units but keep the other SETI stuff coming? Thanks. BB (Sorry if this is in the wrong place)

Thank you, Jord. That was a part of my problem but the rest will need a fix from an 'expert'. Anyway, I can get back to limited crunching for now. Thanks again.

Today, 12-03-2008, my laptop shows 54 Client Error/Compute Errors. I have had 1 or 2 sometimes and wonder if there is a problem here or somewhere else or if this might be a normal thing on ocassion. It has been running for over a year with very few problems showing up. Any suggestions?

Thanks, BILL

I have a computer which has "gone south" for the winter and won't be back up for months. I have 3 work units on it due in late December. I hate to leave them hanging. Is there a way for me to have them 'canceled' or otherwise returned to the pot?

Thanx, BILL

Hi, I had a similar problem and I solved it with some help and a little lateral thinking by suspending my other project; climate prediction and started receiving work. This may help if you are participating in another project on BOINC. Here are the log messages from BOINC:

Not only did it help, all seems fine for now. I guess I would never had thought of that solution. Thanks for making me a happy person. I've been running Seti since it all began and hate losing time. Thanks again. BILL

Everything is fine with your BOINC.
It requests for 0 seconds of work, so there must be enough work in your cache for being crunched. How many WUs do you have in your queue?
The message Deferring communication with project for 10 minutes and 4 seconds should not irritate you since the scheduler states Scheduler request to http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi succeeded.

There have been NO work units for me to process since the last one was uploaded 2 or 3 days ago. It does not even check unless I use the update function. I'm going to try shutting down the other two projects for a while and see if that helps. Thanks for the help.

I constantly get the following error messages when trying to upload results. I am becoming more and more discouraged with the whole process. Guess I can always go back to Seti@Home Classic. Any chance there is a fix to this??

Are the BOINC credits ever being updated? Mine have not changed since September 19th even tho I am crunching at least one-a-day. I'm stuck on 2337.22. I have reloaded the program many times and the newest version has been installed, all without an increase.
