BOINC and STOP errors on Windows 2000 Pro
(Message 91059)

Post: when ever I run BOINC lately, I get stop/BSOD errors on my home computer (Windows 2000 Pro SP4, AMD K6-2/500, 208 MB RAM, 2x 16 GB HDD, ATI Rage 128 GL/AGP [problems started with 5.0.80 drivers that were provided with Windows, continued with 5.13.01.3279 drivers from ATI's site], SB 16 audio card). I dont recall the exact error as I have removed BOINC due to my suspicion that it is causing the error, the way I know at this point is that when I bring the system back up after the error, it does its chkdsk thing and says that files associated with BOINC are invalid. If you need any further details, tell me what you need and i will provide them. |
