2) Questions and Answers : Web site : Reformatted hard drive; SETI recognizes two different computers (Message 1375648) Posted 2 Jun 2013 by Bluehowler Post: Hi there, I apologize if this has been answered previously; I searched the forums but didn't find anything...anyway, I had to reformat the hard drive in my computer. I reinstalled Boinc with no problem, but now when I look at my "computers on this account" it recognizes my reformatted hard drive as a separate computer. That doesn't surprise me so much, so I thought I'd "merge" them...well, I did, and it merged two computers successfully, but not the two I wanted. Is there anyway to have the old and newly formatted drive recognized as the same computers? There were tasks still in progress on the old HD, I suppose I should have thought of stopping tasks but I didn't! Thanks for any assistance or suggestions!
