Hi,

I've done this on many other PCs, but I can't get BOINC to connect on my new Dell laptop. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, set my Norton firewall to allow access by ALL the .exe files in the Boinc directory. No help

Any Suggestions?

I posted this same question on the BOINC community board, but I was told to re-install BOINC (which I've already done a few times, with no success) and no more information or suggestions.

We plan to stop making new v7 work within a few days, because v8 really is more accurate when searching for Gaussians. You can keep v7 until you run out of v7 work. But eventually you'll want to upgrade. Hopefully we'll be getting the GPU versions out quickly.

An interpretation is "How much credit do we get for or work?"

Each Seti@H v7 task is worth between 25-100 credits
Each Astropulse task is worth between 400 and 800 credits

Credit is only given for work that validates.
