Post: Got it!! I created a cc_config.xml file and placed it in the data directory
<cc_config>
<log_flags>
</log_flags>
<options>
<use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus>
</options>
</cc_config>
Now it starts up and it shows both GPUs as active. 3/1/2010 7:11:16 AM log flags: file_xfer, sched_ops, task 3/1/2010 7:11:16 AM Libraries: libcurl/7.19.4 OpenSSL/0.9.8l zlib/1.2.3 3/1/2010 7:11:16 AM Data directory: C:\ProgramData\BOINC 3/1/2010 7:11:16 AM Running under account Pembo 3/1/2010 7:11:16 AM Processor: 4 GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 750 @ 2.67GHz [Intel64 Family 6 Model 30 Stepping 5] 3/1/2010 7:11:16 AM Processor: 256.00 KB cache 3/1/2010 7:11:16 AM Processor features: fpu tsc pae nx sse sse2 pni mmx 3/1/2010 7:11:16 AM OS: Microsoft Windows 7: Ultimate x64 Edition, (06.01.7600.00) 3/1/2010 7:11:16 AM Memory: 7.99 GB physical, 19.98 GB virtual 3/1/2010 7:11:16 AM Disk: 872.82 GB total, 674.72 GB free 3/1/2010 7:11:16 AM Local time is UTC -7 hours 3/1/2010 7:11:16 AM NVIDIA GPU 0: GeForce GTS 250 (driver version 19107, CUDA version 2030, compute capability 1.1, 1024MB, 470 GFLOPS peak) 3/1/2010 7:11:16 AM NVIDIA GPU 1: GeForce GT 240 (driver version 19107, CUDA version 2030, compute capability 1.2, 1024MB, 257 GFLOPS peak) 3/1/2010 7:11:16 AM Not using a proxy 3/1/2010 7:11:16 AM Einstein@Home URL http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/; Computer ID 2241666; resource share 100 3/1/2010 7:11:16 AM Milkyway@home URL http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/; Computer ID 134537; resource share 100 3/1/2010 7:11:16 AM SETI@home URL http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/; Computer ID 5237303; resource share 100 3/1/2010 7:11:16 AM Cosmology@Home URL http://www.cosmologyathome.org/; Computer ID 76315; resource share 100 3/1/2010 7:11:16 AM SETI@home General prefs: from SETI@home (last modified 02-Dec-2009 23:14:14) 3/1/2010 7:11:16 AM SETI@home Computer location: home 3/1/2010 7:11:16 AM SETI@home General prefs: no separate prefs for home; using your defaults Thank You for all your help!!! |

Post: It's detecting it. Here's my log after startup. It says "not used." I think that's strange because its a more powerful card. I'll check the config xml file too. Post: I still have the GT 240 1GB, but it is now a secondary. I only use it for a third screen, like for a movie on my tv. My primary is a GTS 250 1GB. This is my old one. This is my new one |

Post: Thank You. I updated my GPU a week ago. I also just noticed that it is not using it even though it is more powerful than my old one (which did get used) |

Post: I have recently overclocked my Intel i5 quad from 2.6GHz to 3.7Ghz and installed a second and more powerful GPU. "My Computer" section (here) in my profile has not updated the new info. I want to make sure that I am still giving 100% to my current projects. Is there a way to update these stats or do I need to unistall/reinstall BOINC? |
