•Explosive possessed by Stephen Paddock may have been used in NYC bombing•
An explosive compound like the one found in Las Vegas mass shooter Stephen Paddock’s car and home is believed to have been used last year in an alleged terrorist bombing in New York City.
Authorities later arrested Ahmed Rahami, an Afghan immigrant, and charged him with federal terrorism and weapons offenses in connection with that bombing and two others in New Jersey.

If confirmed. Perhaps we should think about what happened in a different light.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/las-vegas-shooting-bomb-stephen-paddock-car-ammonium-nitrate-ingredient-latest-a7979796.html
The parallels to Anders Breivik, Norway is quite similar.
Tannerite comprises a combination of ammonium nitrate and/or ammonium perchlorate (oxidizers)
Ammonium nitrate is also used as a fertilizer and easily accessed.
When mixed with a fuel, primarily aluminum powder, you got yourself a bomb!
And it's used in solid rocket boosters.

Most of the Governments of Europe have disarmed their citizens, so when the crazies and terrorists attack with hatchets, autos, and trucks there is no one to stop them. One citizen with a concealed weapon that knows how to use it, could have saved a lot of people.

Utter nonsense!
How many in Las Vegas with concealed weapons could have stopped Paddock and saving a lot of people?
None!
22,000 people are expected to have been at the festival when the shooting began.
In addition, more than 500 people were injured by both bullets and the panic that broke out in the public.
And no one was shooting back!!!

There is no man, born, alive or dead who can talk with absolute assurance about abortion for the simple fact, they are not female. YET they are the ones making the laws, Arrogance or Hypocrisy?

When it comes to legislation.
Where are the females?

Beginning of human personhood

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beginning_of_human_personhood
The beginning of human personhood is the moment when a human is first recognized as a person. There are differences of opinion as to the precise time when human personhood begins and the nature of that status. The issue arises in a number of fields including science, religion, philosophy, and law, and is most acute in debates relating to abortion, stem cell research, reproductive rights, and fetal rights.

Trump wont discuss the issue of tougher weapon laws in the country after what happened in Las Vegas.
But now other Republicans have opened to ban bump stocks, an accessory that the shooter can use to fire more shots per second with their semi-automatic weapons.
"That is something that is obviously worrying," says the republican senator John Cornyn, according to AP.

I don't think that ban will work.

Oh. There is a retailer in Sweden that have Bumb Stocks for sale.
But now it seems that they have withdrawn the product:)

Here most shootings are between criminal gangs.
Perhaps soon there will be no criminal gangs anymore :)

You are totally barking up the wrong tree with your fixation on 'militia'.

Arf Arf:)
But I do have a problem with the Militia in many countries.
Militia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Militia
In Europe it's very easy to get all kind of weapons you like from the Balkan, Russia and Ukraine militias.

Of course it's "recent" history.
Is that not enough?

"A well regulated Militia is necessary to the security of a free State".
"The right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed in a well regulated Militia".

The American Constitutional Right to Bear Arms. Is also an Individual Right.
District of Columbia v. Heller, 554 U.S. 570 (2008)

In the Nordic countries there is no thing like a Right to Bear Arms.
It's regulated by laws that are not directly connected to our Constitutions.

However since there are many who hunts here, many in the countryside have rifles and shotguns.
Rifles and shotguns are of course illegal to bear in public spaces.
Handguns and assault rifles are very restricted here and are illegal when used outside a shooting range.

Weapons like AR15 is OK to use on a shooting range though
Not the Carl Gustaf that the US have purchased:)

Because no one is saying the Vegas shooting is the largest in American history. They are saying it is the largest gun massacre in recent history.

Las Vegas shooting is easily the deadliest massacre in US history
Las Vegas shooting now tops list of worst mass shootings in U.S. history

As to 'well regulated'...
#@%#@ ... not this schizz again...
A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State,
the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.

1 sentence with 2 clauses.
The first clause "A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, " is declarative. It states a truth.
The second clause "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed." is operative. It places a restriction on Government power.
The second clause does not really depend on the first clause.

So you would say there is no difference to rephrase it to these two sentences.
"A well regulated Militia is necessary to the security of a free State".
"The right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed in a well regulated Militia".

I haven't touched on the Unorganized Militia (essentially all men in the USA between ages 17 and 45, and in some cases 64).

Unorganized Militia?
Is that "a well regulated militia" as the 2nd amendment stipulates?
Since you mention ages I guess you mean conscripts.
I was also a conscript between 17 and 45 but that didn't mean I belonged to a militia allowed to keep and bear arms.

the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia.

Answer your question Janneseti?

Perhaps.
But the the unorganized militia consists also with the Private militias that are armed military groups that are composed of private citizens and not recognized by federal or state governments.

Seems to just be a sloppy job by SCOTUS missing a plural that is in the Constitution.
Even sloppier that an ex-police officer/teacher not knowing the difference :-)

Well.
There are MUCH more thoughts how the 2nd amendment should be interpreted.
Read this and and make your own judgments if it should be singular or plural.

3.4 million people do not have access to clean drinking water in Puerto Rico.
And Trump throws paper towels at the people there!!!
The US territory has been reeling since the Category 5 storm struck the island, but it's doubtful those paper towels will do much to serve the 95 percent of the island's population still without power and 55 percent without clean water.
During his tour of homes on the island, Trump met with pre-selected Puerto Rican families—telling one to "have a good time," and left the island with a remark that he "only heard thank-yous" from the American citizens there. On Wednesday morning, Trump posted on Twitter: "A great day in Puerto Rico yesterday. While some of the news coverage is Fake, most showed great warmth and friendship."

As law is being quoted, please note that the emboldened & underlined clearly states a firearm AND NOT firearms.
hmm, it seems the 2nd amendment needs amending to please gun lovers everywhere just to stay within the law :-)

Hmm. I guess the English Wikipedia got it wrong.
The District of Columbia against Heller is a case that the United States Supreme Court brought up in 2008. The case determined citizens' right to own weapons for private purposes.
Note. Plural in the Swedish Wikipedia.
