Appears so I have had one machine go nuts and dump tasks left right and centre plus a flaky hdd caused a total failure last night, it wouldn't pick up the jobs o had backed up nor would it collect any new jobs oh well we will just have to sit tights and wait matey!

Yeah I dunno why tjey are hidden but a few have showed up as aborted by user on both machine at the time I upgraded to the new client. The main pc is running chkdk and has been for a few hours its a 1tb drive and I suspect its not very well! Both are running win xp

you wont be able to just copy it over, you will need to use a program like Norton ghost but that will get rid of anything on the target drive.

IMHO the best option for you is to get your new drive and re setup windows. I resetup windows every year at least, its always good to have a clear out!

well been to a wedding fair today.

but it was at manchester airport, and i got a vip trip around concorde, we where watching a dress and ahem underwear show and as per most males a corset does wonders, espeacilly when worn by very pretty girls, but kathryn, my wife to be was amazed to turn around halfway through the show exp[ect my eyes on stalks, she certainly got it.
The landing gear, the wings wow, the concorde is a b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l bird, i got to see the inside of it, and inside is not different, if your over 5ft you have to duck to get in the one and only main door, i got to see the cockpit and wow, i just wanted to push that magic button, "MAIN ENGINE START"

but even though she hasnt had any parts taken off her since she was put into the hanger, it would still cost 25,000,000 pounds to get her under her own power and taxi, never mind take off.

To replace her, a very big airline (clue never done anything thing before, red logos, begins with V) is looking into having four built at airbus, at a cost of £300,000,000. each.

basically i got to sit in the engine touch the fan blades, sit in the pilots seat, the jump seats and passenger seats, its tiny but omg what an awesome aircraft.

so sad to see her hidden away in a hanger and not in flight . . . . .

already on 53k! wow this ectra pc build was worth it lol put it on my dads machine a few weeks ago on contast connection etc, got 90 credits for it today, small but its wort it lol

well the cpu fans a tad noisey so i think from my 11years experience of computers its on its way out.

I was only thinking of using the 12cm fan because its the sharkoon golf ball fan http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/120mm-Sharkoon-1000-Golf-Ball-Quiet-19-dB(A)-Case-Fan-367-CFM and very quiet!

I dont think I've seen a dead genuine Intel CPU cooling fan die yet, and thats looking back at some PIII servers that have run 27/7 for maybe 10 years.

i got them from www.scan.co.uk cheaply.

I think they are the dogs, never had a failure - i got ten of them (various sizes) they are very quiet, but even better when run with a controller at 1200-1400 rpm, they are really really good.

I have had cpu fans fans within a month of buying them, usually on stock coolers so when i am building a rig i usually buy two 3rd party heatsinks and fans. I usually go for artic cooling pro , again very good and never had a failure!

I had 2 new ones on each box today, and still am showing others that were reported when yours were. I'm not worried about them as I'm sure there are other more pressing issues to be handled right now.

Oh I'm not worried. I've junked many more WU's in my time than the system has ever junked for me. If worst comes to worst they will be crunched again and the science will still get done, it will take me a few more days to get to number one spot for a single host and I will spend a few less days in that position before I lose it (for ever). Que sera, sera...
