The mirror-episode of Warehouse 13.

Strange, though, that the evil mirror girl didn't have a goatee...

I never got that show, Blurf, but I have been known to watch entire episodes just to watch Pauley Perrette's character: Abby Sciuto!

Well, I've entered an avatar contest with this:

So I have just watched the video on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XC73PHdQX04

Just came home -but I had a strange melody on my mind....

She asks me why
I'm just a hairy guy
I'm hairy noon and night
Hair that's a fright
I'm hairy high and low
Don't ask me why
Don't know
It's not for lack of break
Like the Grateful Dead
Darling

Gimme head with hair
Long beautiful hair
Shining, gleaming,
Streaming, flaxen, waxen

Give me down to there hair
Shoulder length or longer
Here baby, there mama
Everywhere daddy daddy

Hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
Flow it, show it
Long as God can grow it
My hair

Let it fly in the breeze
And get caught in the trees
Give a home to the fleas in my hair
A home for fleas
A hive for bees
A nest for birds
There ain't no words
For the beauty, the splendor, the wonder
Of my...

Hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
Flow it, show it
Long as God can grow it
My hair

I want it long, straight, curly, fuzzy
Snaggy, shaggy, ratty, matty
Oily, greasy, fleecy
Shining, gleaming, streaming
Flaxen, waxen
Knotted, polka-dotted
Twisted, beaded, braided
Powdered, flowered, and confettied
Bangled, tangled, spangled, and spaghettied!

Oh say can you see
My eyes if you can
Then my hair's too short

Down to here
Down to there
Down to where
It stops by itself

They'll be ga ga at the go go
When they see me in my toga
My toga made of blond
Brilliantined
Biblical hair

My hair like Jesus wore it
Hallelujah I adore it
Hallelujah Mary loved her son
Why don't my mother love me?

Hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
Flow it, show it
Long as God can grow it
My hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
Flow it, show it
Long as God can grow it
My hair

So I put on my LP(s) of the OST:

Would you know? -Treat Williams can actually sing!!!

Brilliant Angela

Grandpa was always going on about the good old days, and the lower cost of living, in particular.

"When I was a kid, my mom could send me to the store, and I'd get a salami, two pints of milk, 6 oranges, 2 loaves of bread, and a magazine, some new blue jeans, all for a dollar!

Then Grandpa said sadly, "You can't do that anymore because they got those darn video cameras everywhere."

We have the musical "What are you listening to?"-thread, but I really don't listen to a lot of things while being on-line.

Especially not as I always have something to watch going on in the background

The fact that this sort of thread is relatively popular on other boards I frequent makes me believe that it also might fly here.

Well, it's past two (that's AM) here and as The X-Files is on again (again, again...) I tend to check if it's an ep I want to watch again (again, again...) - And tonight's ep was just such one: "Space".

A physicist has been conducting experiments and has worked out a set of equations which seem to explain his data. He asks a mathematician to check them. A week later, the mathematician calls "I'm sorry, but your equations are complete nonsense." "But these equations accurately predict results of experiments. Are you sure they are completely wrong? "To be precise, they are not always a complete nonsense. But the only case in which they are true is the trivial one where the field is Archimedean"...

*Right slick - save*

A marine biologist developed a race of genetically engineered dolphins that could live forever if they were fed a steady diet of seagulls. One day his supply of the birds ran out, so he had to go out and trap some more. On the way back, he spied two lions asleep on the road. Afraid to wake them, he gingerly stepped over them. Immediately, he was arrested and charged with transporting gulls across sedate lions for immortal porpoises.

Io Shadow Transit on Ganymede.

Seeing was excellent this evening, but I still had to deal with some clouds in between. Transparency was very variable! Sadly I was not able to capture the start of the shadow transit because of the clouds. But I was able to capture the rest of the event! Below is the animation of this rare event! Ganymede is well resolved with lots of albedo features.

I suppose it does work either way

A Mathematician was put in a room. The room contains a table and three metal spheres about the size of a softball. He was told to do whatever he wants with the balls and the table in one hour. After an hour, the balls are arranges in a triangle at the center of the table. The same test is given to a Physicist. After an hour, the balls are stacked one on top of the other in the center of the table. Finally, an Engineer was tested. After an hour, one of the balls is broken, one is missing, and he's carrying the third out in his lunchbox.
