Yeah that's why, even though I like the idea of Science United, I don't like its implementation. I'd much rather sign up for individual accounts and have greater control over what I'm running, as well as having the ability to be part of the community. No worries, though; I'll get the message to them somehow! Haha.

I have been trying to sign up for MilkyWay@home since the hibernation, but upon filling out the information, passing reCaptcha, and hitting submit, I get the following:
"Can't create account
Your reCAPTCHA response was not correct. Please try again.
Click your browser's Back button to try again."
I tried telling them via Facebook, but while my message was read, it was seemingly ignored. If someone who has an account there can let them know there are issues with reCaptcha, would be greatly appreciated!

Well I reached my goal of 100,000 credits, as puny and embarrassing as it is. I joined SETI@home back in 2008 but never could receive tasks. My ISP at the time blocked it and refused to allow communication. I eventually switched ISPs after our town finally allowed competition; however, months later, my desktop's third PSU gave the ghost. It wouldn't be until years later that I would build the system I'm using now, but by then, I honestly forgot to pick back up where I left off with SETI@home. I wish I could have contributed more over the years as opposed to crunching last minute, but I am glad to have been part of it anyway. I look forward to the future of this project, whatever that may be, and when I run out of tasks for SETI@home, it'll be my goal to contribute at least as much as I have here to many other worthy scientific causes.

Did anyone else have their stats reset? I had completed roughly 1,100 tasks on this account (including about 300 that were pending), seemingly wiped out. Now it is showing 171 total tasks, no added credits for the pending or inconclusive tasks. RAC keeps declining.
Edit: had a jump of 2,000 total credits right after posting, no increase of RAC. Not sure if those 2,000 came from the 171 new tasks or if that came from the ones that are currently missing.

Update:
I did find the link to "SETI@home__Classic_SETI_for_fun__--BilBg--.rar" from your FTP server, Kissagogo27 (I hope you don't mind me sharing the link here for anyone curious). However, it appears all sources for "SETI@home__Classic__work_unit.sah.rar" (as well as all the files it should have contained) are gone. Same with the file "SETI@home_3.08__BilBg.rar". Does anyone have either of these?

It had been 27th day for 30 minutes (in UTC time that the manager graph uses) when you posted that so how many credits you had expected to gain in those 30 minutes?

You are correct there; probably poor choice to have included the graph. Received maybe 500 credits in a period of four hours prior to posting, which seemed odd; figured that was related to server issues. Seems like it credited me with the appropriate amount now.

u can find Rar archive with Old seti classic with an old WU you can run in standalone mode with the screensaver running
it real compute the WU ... for fun .

Thanks for the post. Unfortunately, all links are dead and the Wayback Machine doesn't seem to have them archived.

I was wondering if there are any plans to preserve the SETI@home screensaver. It is arguably one of the most iconic screensavers in the world of computing (alongside others such as the classic 3D maze) and was part of an incredible scientific experiment. I know it is completely silly for multiple reasons (screensavers not really having a purpose anymore for modern displays, wasting CPU resources and power, etc.) but I think it would be cool if there's a way to preserve the screensaver such that it simulates data crunching while SETI@home is in hibernation. Would this be feasible?

Still receiving and completing tasks, but credits have pretty much flatlined.

Nothing changed on my setups.
