Could formula one driving be an olympic sporting event? It is certainly exciting enough... As 2008 world champion Lewis Hamilton clinched victory in Rio de janeiro Brazil...

Glock let Lewis pass. Massa is the rightful 2k8 Champ.

If they are guilty the 2008 title should go to Massa,

Or are you suggesting that all Singapore results should be disqualified, (LewHam came 3rd and Felipe 13th at Singapore 2008)? Otherwise, disqualifying Renault from Singapore 2008 will increase LewHam's end of season points total by 2 and Felipe's by 0. Given the animosity between the 2007 McLaren drivers, and Alonso's desire to drive a red car, it's doubtful that Alonso would have done anything deliberately to help LewHam's title chances at the expense of Massa. I find the possibility that Renault's alleged actions did this, umm, ironic :)

What happened with Piquet throwing Renault under the bus reminds me a lot of when Mangini ratted out the Pats for video taping.

Ah man, you should totally go. When I was stationed in Germany, back when the EU gran prix was Nurburg and the German GP was Hockenheim, I went to both. I'd also make the trip up to Spa and once made the trip to Monaco. I also attended the WRC event in Trier.

It's official. Fisichella will take Massa's place starting from Monza.

Spa: 1 Raikkonen, 2 Fisichella on Force India, 3 Vettel. A TV station says that Alonso will drive a Ferrari at Monza, but Briatore denies this. I believe this to be true: a new Ferrari sponsor is Banco Santander.

There were also reports mid-race that Fisi was pretty much all but Ferrari's property. As impossible as it would be to happen, I'd love to see Fisi and Alonso teamed up again, they made a great combo at Renault.

As I foresaw, Schumacher has wisely renounced. Massa's place will be taken by test driver Luca Badoer.

Spells very bad news for Ferrari...

The kimster just might improve if MS is setting the pace.

To play the other side of the coin, Massa was the one scoring points these past few races (until this last one of course) while Kimi was, well, being the Kimi of 04 all over again.

Time will tell, but this upcoming race will be anything short of exciting.

He still has three weeks to improve the neck muscles.
But he never was really out of the buisness.

But it's a new car. I don't remember reading anything about him testing in it. Plus remember there is no testing allowed. So his first drive will be the 1st test session before the next race. That 21 days 10 hours 13 mins and 58 secs.

I´m sure he dont need more than 10 rounds.

Do you risk a bet?

While Schumi's skills were sharp a few years ago, even if they have not dulled, he is still at a disadvantage due to Ferrari's inconsistent cars. Massa looked like he was just about getting a handle on the car and still couldn't place many points on the board. The diffusers are a killer this year (Brawn has shown how powerful they can be), along with the erratic KERS.

He also has no experience with the KERS, so we'll see how this plays in.

It's a miracle he is alive.

Indeed so. In spite of all the enhancements to driver safety, since Ayrton Senna's untimely death, there are still the inherent risks involved - another recent example being, Henry Surtees, the son of John Surtees, who sadly died, in a Formula 2 race. It makes a mockery of the agonising antics, displayed by 'soccer players'!

RIP Senna =(

That was the first thing I thought of when Massa hit the wall. I remember, as a kid, watching Senna take the top podium in 90 and 91 when he raced in my hometown of Phoenix. We were robbed of a great talent with his death.

Until it has actually been delivered. I have had times when I realized I switched send lists on two messages. I would have made the 5 seconds, but it was delivered long before that...

You can recall after it has been delivered. I had to write a series of scripts that do this daily on false positives for SMARTS InCharge.

BMW needs to learn how to cheat better if they want to be productive in F1. McLaren owes their new found success to massive cheating.

Didn't McLaren get caught last year for cheating?

Year before last I believe. They were caught stealing Ferrari blueprints.

Their was another team that got caught as well? I think it was williams.

They all cheat. It's part of the sport. Did anyone notice Schumacher rush to get some pictures of the McLaren underside when it flipped at practice last weekend. It's not a matter of cheating, it's getting caught that looks bad.

This is what I was getting at in the BMW remark. Every racing team cheats, just like pretty much every athlete takes some form of performance enhancer (hgh, roids, etc). You'd be a fool not to believe such. When teams/people get caught, they hang their head in shame and everyone around them acts shocked even though they're probably doing much worse things in their own camp.
