1) Message boards : News : The connectivity problem noted yesterday turned out to be one of our switches and not the router. We swapped in a replacement switch today and connectivity was restored. (Message 962655) Posted 11 Jan 2010 by whyknot Post: My answer to the server being down at times is to set my preferences to indicate that I want enough work for my computer so that I have AT LEAST FIVE (5) DAYS OF WORK AVAILABLE ON MY COMPUTER. Since I seldom turn my computer off I feel that with that amount of work available I can ignore the server being down for several days without any problem other than completing much of the work and not having it show up on my account as finished but even that is not a problem since my main aim in volunteering my computer time is to give the project more computation time and NOT to run up points or whatever. 2) Questions and Answers : Macintosh : Boinc not using both processors (Message 876603) Posted 17 Mar 2009 by whyknot Post: I have been running Boinc and the projects from Seti and ClimatePrediction for several months without any problem. I recently reloaded my OS (OS-X) and now find that despite having preferences set on both projects to use both processors only one is being used. I can not seem to be able to allow both to run and I am puzzled by this. Anyone have any suggestions?
