Why doesn't S@H use my CUDA possible GPU?

Posted 25 Dec 2008 by Bobaab Post: I checked the spec of my PC through several sources, including the manufacturer, and it turns out it only has 128mb. The card itself can have UP TO 256mb, that's why the Nvidia site says 256mb. Thanks for everyone's help! |

Posted 22 Dec 2008 by Bobaab Post: First of all, I am on a laptop that has an AMD cpu and a GeForce 8400M G gpu. This gpu is under the list of compatible gpu's that have CUDA and it has 256mb of video ram. I updated the video card driver from the Nvidia website and am running Boinc 6.4.5. CUDA is seen in Boinc upon startup. What's the problem? Although I don't think using CUDA will be faster, I still want to see for myself. Any help is appreciated! |
