Posted 31 May 2008 by LadySirella Post: I'm having the same problem as desdichato. I requested serveral projects, mostly I wanted Proteins@home but also decided on Climateprediction.net but now for the last week the only thing that has come through is for Climate. I didn't realize how big the files were. Should I change my preferences so Climate has more resources or less. I have it set at 100 for it and 1000 for Proteins@home (which is what I wanted to push) with my Seti at 200, Rosetta 50 & Cels@home 100. Ok, thanks, I have bumped Climate up so hopefully soon I will get some work for my other projects. I took your advise and suspended Proteins until they get more work. Thanks for your help. |

Posted 28 May 2008 by LadySirella Post: I might be in the wrong area but here goes. I have watched my manager over the years and I always have seti@home tasks running. For the last couple of days the only thing running is ClimatePredictions. None of my other projects are loading new work to my computer. Over the weekend I picked up 3 new projects and I was wondering if I did something that might interfer with the others. Help please Lady Sirella |

(Message 758636)
Posted 26 May 2008 by LadySirella Post: I tried another project and it went through just fine no problem. Has anyone else come up with not being able to attach to Protein@home? Have you tried making an account through http://biology.polytechnique.fr/proteinsathome/create_account_form.php or through BOINC Manager? Did you get an email from Proteins@Home with your account key in it? Can you log in on the site with the email address and password that you used to make the account? (Hoping it is this Proteins@Home you meant...) ____________ Jord Thanks that worked and yes it was Proteins. I guess Proteins doesn't like BOINC Manager. Now I have an account and a project. Thanks again... |

Posted 25 May 2008 by LadySirella Post: This is a little different, I keep trying to add another project but it keeps telling me "Failed" "Missing Account Key". I have used my password, and copied and pasted both my account keys but so far nothing is working. The project is Protein. Can someone help me on this one. Thanks Lady Sirella Each project is independent with its own account keys. If you haven't already created an account with the new project then you have to attach as a new user not an existing account. But you can (and probably should) use the same email address. I tried to create a new account using the same e-mail and password that I have and it still failed and said "Missing Account Key". ____________ I tried another project and it went through just fine no problem. Has anyone else come up with not being able to attach to Protein@home? |

Is there any way to recover credits on an older account
(Message 329210)
Posted 6 Jun 2006 by LadySirella Post: Basically, I want my new account #8388429 linked to my old seti Classic stats. I have all my credits now as it turned out I had used an e-mail that I had totally forgotten about. I wrote to setidba@ssl.berkeley.edu, included all names (old and new) and passwords/keys (old and new), and ask for them to do it. A couple of days after that all my credits showed up. Give this a try. LaDonna |

Thanks Tony, I e-mailed them and it turned out I had another e-mail address that I had forgotten out. Once I used that one and the password, everything linked. You are the greatest. LaDonna :) |

Posted 10 Dec 2005 by LadySirella Post: I have your password by using your user_info.sah in the form. if you need it. Thanks, I didn't think about that I have edited it. I have my password too. I know that looks like my old e-mail account too. But when I've tried to use it to link the two accounts it says "No SETI@home Classic account with email smagic@mindspring.com was found". I appreciate the help you are giving me. Thanks |

(Message 209383)
Posted 10 Dec 2005 by LadySirella Post: I can't answer that. I'd try linking your accounts before the shutdown, just to be sure you did everything you could to save them. I don't see them in your boinc account. I have tried all the ways that have been posted and they ard just not working. I don't remember what my e-mail was at the time, I've tried every way possible, in the sah all my stats are there I got a password but then it says need e-mail. I've tried every e-mail I cam remember but none of them works. It looks like I'm just going to lose them. It's sad but oh well, I've got a good start already on BOINC. Thanks |

Posted 29 Nov 2005 by LadySirella Post: This page uses the user_info.sah file from your Classic SETI folder to extract your Classic password. With that, your current email address and your BOINC account key, you can link the Classic account to the BOINC account from this page. Use the form in the third section. I have used both of the pages, I got a password for my Classic account and put my current e-mail in and then the password, now it's telling me I need an e-mail address. So far nothing has worked. Posted 25 Nov 2005 by LadySirella Post: Cannot link accounts. I also am having the same problem, I just hope there will be some way to link the two accounts because I have been with Seti since 1999 too. I have already established a new project though and will continue even if I have to start over. Hopeful LadySirella |
