I've recently setup a few of my no longer in use single board computers to do seti@home work. They are all working headless and I converse with them via ssh. I have one raspberry pi 3 that I overclocked and had working until the sd card dies. After I reinstalled everything no matter what options I try with boinccmd I can't seem to get any work? Is there a way to maybe present this device as a totally new machine and get some work?

I set up one of my pi's like the others and it received work. The card failed shortly into it. I reinstalled on a new card setup the same and attached but it's 3 days later and still no work. Any help appreciated.

Try adding this line to your "crontab" (sudo crontab -e) add the line

0 */6 * * * sync; echo 3 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches

this will purge the memory caches every 4 hours, keeps my used memory around 160 megs or so. It has to be done with root permissions or the command wont run.

Also you arnt running the gui? if so dont just boot into a terminal session instead, that saves ram and clock cycles.
