Have passed 200,000 cobblestones on SETI.

Also have passed 30,000,000 cobblestones BOINC Total.

Plus as a triple milestone, recently passed 100,000 cobblestones on POEM.

Congratulations to all fellow crunchers with their recent milestones.

From what I am seeing my AMD X2 4800+ machine used to get around 20 to 22 credits an hour running SETI, and I got this for a long while.
I have been noticing that the amount per WU has been dropping but have not worried too much till I did a calculation or two.

Now I currently am only getting 10 to 12 credits an hour.

This is most assuredly a large drop.

Whether it is produced by CUDA influence or SETI in general I have already reduced my meager input even further as running the standard application on my limited computer resources I need all the credit I can get and now I am not getting it.

It appears that without an optimised application or a CUDA GPU card it no longer pays to run SETI.

Even Rosetta which has always underpaid SETI, now pays more.

Have passed 5,000,000 cobblestones Total for all BOINC projects.

It's a BIG milestone for me.

Nice mark to hit, my friend......
Maybe I could convince you to allocate just a tad more to Seti?

That's OK if not......very well done.

Congrats Conan - by coincidence, I popped in here to celebrate reaching exactly the same milestone overnight:

G'Day and thanks msattler and Richard,

@msattler, to pass 12,000,000 is a major milestone as well, as for more to Seti, well we will just have to wait and see.

@Richard, Congrats on also passing 5,000,000, we have swapped positions a few times on the totals ladder, so I knew you were close.

I upgraded to Boinc Manager 5.10.8 a while back on an AMD Opteron 285 running Linux Fedora Core 3.
It has been running fine and the upgrade was no problem.
What has been happening on and off over the past few weeks is the Boinc Manager refuses to report completed work and will not do an update.

The completed task uploads its associated files with no problem but the Task itself will not upload so that the job gets recorded as complete.

I have to exit boinc and restart it to get the Tasks to upload.

The programme will then run fine for a few more days before doing it again.

On the Task tab all is prcessing ok and waiting jobs get processed and completed before sitting there waiting to upload, which of course does not happen.

If I click on the "Update" tab in Projects, no record of this happens in the Messages, indicating that the command did not get through to the client to update the selected project.

12) Message boards : Number crunching : NEZ is No. 1 in the new BOINC All Project Stats (Message 597295)
Posted 2 Jul 2007 by Profile Conan
Post:
The reason that NEZ only shows 4 computers is that of the 8 projects that NEZ is in he hides his computers in 4 and shows his computers in 4.
SETI, Einstein, CPDN and LHC are all hidden. Predictor shows 5 computers, Rosetta shows 2, SETI Beta shows 1 and uFluids shows 1.

It is for this reason that NEZ shows up as the number 1 user for people with less than 10 computers, as the hidden ones can't be counted see this link to NEZ's stats

The one in SETI Beta must be good as it is the number 1 for RAC.

NEZ joined SETI 5/2/2000 with ID 22. So he has been around for awhile.

Just passed 500,000 Cobblestones total BOINC credits, also passed 200,000 Rosetta credits, approaching 50,000 credits in QMC and 60,000 in RALPH. Will take a bit longer to get to 60,000 credits in SETI.

Have passed 50,000 Cobblestones in Seti and team total for Cobar Spiders passed 100,000.
Einstein passed 100,000 (top 600), Rosetta passed 150,000 (top 400).
Reached 3rd in world (now back to 4th) in Ralph and passed 40,000 Cobblestones.
QMC reached 30,000 (top 100) and Predictor passed 15,000 Cobblestones (miles to top).
Should pass 400,000 Cobblestones total BOINC in another day.

Congratulations to all on persoanal milestones in any project.

(It should be top 1900 for Einstein, my Team is in the top 600)
