sabre update pic - was @ my friends yesterday. after playing with the cat for ~20 mins he finally got tuckered for 3.3 minutes lol

What a simply adorable kitty!!!

lol, safe to say that from a distance fer sure lol! He's getting way more mellow, nowhere near as scratch/attack happy these days, he did attack the lens @ one point however :O
1 blurry pic i deleted showed a couple of back bottom teeth, kind of...
and remember .. that *is* mellow compared to a couple three months ago.
He IS becoming a nice cat tho', he jumps up on me now for semi-pet pleasure, not kitty-side-only sadistic scratch til they scream kind of pleasure

... remembering *The Hand Incident of 07* ;-)

I just edited/cropped this one

**NOTE!! - NO eyeballs were fried getting this shot!!! LOL ... I was wiggling my fingers down yonder to make sure that didn't happen (notice the no-blurring of anything) :-)

Hi all
Well it had to happen eventually
My oldest, and one of the first PC's I put together, is gasping for air
Won't run more than a few minutes before hanging, then freezes.
I upgraded it/maxed it out hardware-wise, and now ? It's just not worth it to keep it going effort-wise lol :(

So, my hobby farm has lost a third of it's acreage.

There are still 3.5 WU's on it (1 is 54%) I'm afraid that one will have to be lost, should I abort it? ... As for the other 3, can I move those to a usb stick, and just drop them into a running PC here? would that work?

I like them both, but 1, being bigger, is of course better lol :)

I meant to post last night - got distracted (rasslin on teevee lol)
but, How does everyone feel about starting a Winter pics thread, or contest? or both?

anyways, I can't stop taking pics LOL. I really like the stitch feature, just made another 10 mins ago.
Mars capella(just below top edge) pollux castor and regulus near the horizon (I think ;)
Full size pics

The rest is just so much eye-candy :-D

Wednesday, January 2

Earth reaches perihelion, its closest to the Sun for the year (only 1/30 closer to the Sun than at aphelion in July).

For those with telescopes in eastern NA, and don't know, get them out tomorrow, see above link :)

Hey Happy New Years all!

I had to shake my head this aft. when I flipped the channel and saw that game Pawly LOL - I'm not a fan by any stretch but had I known it was on I would have watched the whole thing :)

As you say it had a nice nostalgic feel to it

Richard - have you asked all your close neighbours? HOPEfully someone found him and thought he's a stray and took him home

also, call the local shelters/spca in case he's been found and turned in.

idle to me means *nothing currently happening* ie websurfing, composing music, checking email etc etc
Once the system detects idle, in power-saving/hibernate mode, it effectively shuts down, and nothing runs
However having said all that I'm just an old school geek lol, not an up to date hyper geek, perhaps my slant is wrong

I also want things to run all the time, which is why I don't enable or use the power saving stuff, when I leave all I do is turn off the monitors
