It oftentimes seems the most difficult things turn out to be the easiest ones haha
Thankyou very much, I snagged the app, closed boinc, and ran it ... restarted boinc and all seems OK (I saw the *using anonymous platform* message)
so .... that's it? I mean nothing else to get/addon/etc? :)

Hi everyone, been a while since I was here last :)
Thanks to modern meds, I seem to have lost that part of the brain that remembers things lol
I just installed the latest Boinc client on a new PC here
zeon 470 dell(intel)
Processor: 1 GenuineIntel Intel(R) Xeon(TM) CPU 2.80GHz [x86 Family 15 Model 4 Stepping 1]
Processor features: fpu tsc pae nx sse sse2 pni mmx
OS: Microsoft Windows Vista: Home Basic x86 Edition, Service Pack 1, (06.00.6001.00)
Memory: 2.00 GB physical, 4.22 GB virtual

and went to get the optimizers from the Lunatics site
It/they have changed a bit, and don't look familiar
Could someone please tell me which I need to get/install? (like do I get 2 apps, or 1, and which versions, etc)
Thanks in advance :)

Happy Easter everyone!

It was bright and sunny when I first posted. Shortly after, it turned
cloudy, grey, and started snowing.
Yesterday and today have both been bright and sunny, but that will
not last I'm sure, they are calling for rain sleet snow freezing rain,
and, of course, minus 0 temps over the next week here in S. Ontario :)

from this AM

ah i see... no idea

There are probably 100+ co's in Canada, try googling it

here in Ont there are class A, B, C etc, no numbers which is why I was
confused about the *class 3* part, which i know as Class C

I did do a very quick look, starting wage seems to be in the 60K range

based on the given information, I can only conclude the following

A class 3 something or other should make slightly more than a class 2 something or other, but not as much as a class 4

Unless they have recieved proper training in class 4 whatever, then, pending
arbitration, the class 3 whatever *MAY* be qualified for class 4

I hope this cleared up any and all misunderstandings =)

just an oddity occasionally :)

Mornin' all ... something I've noticed a few times here, just did a quick search of the boards,
but didn't see it.
Apologies if this has been addressed before ...

Occasionally, after a reboot, my Boinc client icon

pops into the systray with a little red dot/cross

on it ... it seems to be running just fine otherwise.

Just curious what that is, and why it does that

Thanks a lot in advance :)

hi stacey, thanks!

I like all storms lol, rain wind snow doesn't matter.
They serve as a reminder of how small and insignificant we are,
in the big picture :)

a sun-dog and double rainbow, last Tuesday morning. I'm guessing this
is over the western end of L. Ontario, ~40 miles away. Too wide to fit
one frame, is 3 pics stitched together :)
