1) Questions and Answers : Windows : Setup Initialization file error (Message 199542) Posted 30 Nov 2005 by Tandler Post: When notified SETI was moving to the BOINC program I downloaded and installed the program. I too had the issue with the PROXY and SERVER requests. I thought it was a conflict with the LAN firewall, but didn't have time to investigate. Then came the notice that the issue had been resolved with a new version (5.2.12). I downloaded and installed it, or attempted a download and install. I'm getting a message "Error reading setup initialization file" My LAN is a home network running off cable and I am the administrator. My operating system is WinXP. Tony
