Which project in BOINC has the biggest server?? I would guess it's SETI.. they have many different machines.



A more accurrate statement would probably be that seti NEEDS the biggest server....

Well i guess we arent going to get the credit. thats 39 Wus at 2hrs each, thats 78 hrs of work down the drain. O well. Why do 4 Wus get sent out when only 3 are needed anyway??? seems like a waste of resources to me.

quite the contrary, my RAC has gone up about 100pts, I used to only get like 300. And thats WTIHOUT like 20+ results that are giving me 0 credit because their screwed up.

Try to chill - I believe that the team will run a script that will sort this all out.

It's a consequence of the extended outage.



They better. Thats a lot of hours of work. And it really is not my fault they werent reported in time (obviously)

my pending credit things says "this feature is turned off temporarily", and has always said that for as long as i can remember. When will it be turned back on?

I just looked at one of my machines had gotten 14 out of 55. I was surprised when i saw that. Things seem to be getting a little better.

Yea it has been read in a dozen other threads, but theres still no answer, so yes i did make a new thread and expected someone to complain about it but o well.

If there is so much of an overload on the servers why can we not get a new server? Even if Seti@home is poor there has to be some way to get a new server. You cant seriously say that out of the hundreds of thousands of Seti crunchers there arent millionaires participating in this project! Why dont we ask them for the money!!!???

Geek@Play I cant see them discarding 5 days of work. If that happened, and people knew it happened, 10s of thousands would quit. With the way ppl want to quit just because of BOINC in general you cant expect them to stay if we do something like toss out 5 days of work.

The servers have been screwed up for what 4 days now? I know you guys are working hard to fix the problem but as im sure you are aware:

1) New users are totally hating Boinc and blaming it for the problems. They think the world is ending cuz they cant send work back.Im afraid their just gonna give up on it.
2) If the servers crashed how can they be expected to handle the tidal wave of results that are going to be sent to them once there fixed?

So does anyone have any clue as to how this issue is going to be resolved?

creo que el caso es de dominio publico, pregunté ¡ntes de leer mas mensajes.
estoy estancado. no consigo ni subir trabajos terminados ni bajar nuevos trabajos.
uso boinc creo que la ultima version. descargada reciente de la webpage.
se trata de saturacion ?
se puede seguir usando la version antigua?

Creo que te comprendo. Mi espanol no es bueno, lo siento. Creo que hablaste que no puedes obtener o volver los trabajos, verdad? Si esto es su problema entonces no puedes nada. La problema es con SETI. Todas las personas tienen el mismo problema. Esto problemo sera corregido pronto.

Did u happen to know that Boinc does much better research than seti classic did??? Did u know that your CPU cycles which are o so important to you arent being wasted on duplicate results over and over like in classic??? Did u know its credit system is much more efficient in Boinc??? Did you know that just because the servers are down for a few days doesnt mean the apocalypse is upon us???


So what exactly is wrong with Boinc.
