Even though the account is disabled by default, it'll still be in your Users list. Maybe that that is confusing you?

But no, no account is made or enabled by BOINC, not even when it's running as a service. You need an administrator account to install it.

So if anything was enabled, check your system for viruses & spyware/malware first.

I'll try to explain better (sorry for my english). By default guest account is disabled then i had installed Boinc with my account (administrative) not as service. After this i look at user list and found that guest account is enabled. So I had disabled guest account and Boinc is still working... I have done again to be sure of this, so unistalled Boinc, look at users and guest was disabled, installed again Boinc, look at users list and guest was enabled!!! Anyway it is just a curiosity because I had disabled again and Boinc still working, thanks.

Did you try uninstall, restart, install?

Yes I had done this but without success, the only way to make it works is the follow: start boinc.exe in a dos windows then start boincmgr.exe and it works. But if I close the console window the boinc manager disconnects from project and shows the same message "unable to connect to a boinc client".
I really don't know what happens, it have worked well for several months....

After a registry cleaning my Boinc manager display the following message: "Boinc manager is not able to connect to a Boinc client" I have tried to do in manual connecting to localhost but it display always same message. I had unistalled Boinc and installed again but it doesn't work, always same message.
What can I do?
