I had to go back to Ver 5.8.16 to get one to run on Server 2003.

Anything later would not run on a server (at the time I loaded it that is)

Skildude: It also seems that Collatz has hit some type of wall in their connection and GPUgrid does NOT like my GPU's.

Aqua seems to be the only project still running for me.

There appears to be an impending mass-exodus from FreeHal...... and an apparently AWOL project manager.

Consternation is quite high at the moment.

Mark, better get another litter box.

My Kitties are joining yours. Ok, they are older and grumpier than yours, but all kitties gotta hang together.

NNT all seti boxes. (not much in the quenes anyway).

That's 2 projects dying/dead in the last week.

Patrick:

Not being sure where you got that data, I have probably that many "pending" on my user page but they are spread over probably 15 boxes and 50 cores. My cache is set for 10 days. I could suspend SETI for a week or 2 and still (proably) finish them in time, but I wont. I am just increasing the shares of my backup projects. Boinc will throw SETI into High Priority if it feels it needs to.

If you look at individual computers, I have probably 50 or less on each box.

Nothing wrong with that Sutaru.

I keep the load spread over several projects so that if one goes down, there is plenty of work for my whole vegetable garden.

So far, my cache's are holding on, and will for a few more days.

My backup projects are starting to catch up since I increased their shares.

The only potential problem I can see is that when the backup projects kick in as primary (trying to d/l full cache's), they may start to crumble under the load, so be gentle with them!

It's all about timing. Rejoining in the middle of an outage would be unnerving to say the least. Give it some time to heal, and all will be well until the next hiccup.

Seti is my primary project, but I have others in reserve if it drops off for a while.

As was said above S*** Happens, AND USUALLY AT THE MOST INAPPROPRIATE TIME. My 10 day cache's have weathered everything I have encountered so far as far as outages, and letting other projects run helps too. Sure my RAC has dropped a few thousand, but it will be back! (lost a quad as well!)

(no, I am not the poster above with the same username)

Give Matt and the guys some time to sort it all out.

Seems an easy fix.

Shut down AP & CUDA. (Completely Useless, Danged Atrocious)

MB works well when the others are not stealing the bandwidth.

We had the same lack of communication when Classic was dying.

Go back to the basics and let the crunchers do what we do best..... CRUNCH!

Not safe for others who have CPU's, in my opinion.

...... as I am setting No New Tasks on some boxes.........

(Have 10 day cache, so if it gets fixed before then I can re-load)

I am serious considering taking my rigs elsewhere until this CUDA fiasco has been resolved.
I am not happy finding 0 credits for a W/U that took 1,000 secs.
I am REALLY not happy finding 0 credits for a W/U that took 10,000 secs.
GET IT FIXED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would have to agree.

I was running 21K + RAC, now more like 19K. I have a bunch of 0 credit WU's but cannot go through an purge all with CUDA wingmen.

The compound was already on the cooler. Remove the plastic cover and install.

I am not 100% sure that Core Temp is reading it correctly, but that is what it is showing.

One of my P-4 HT's is showing 66 C (according to bios)
