What About User ID and Account Key?
(Message 93094)
Posted 31 Mar 2005 by joekc6nlx Post: I found my password - I discovered that I had already changed my e-mail address with S@H Classic, and had been using the old e-mail address. Once I submitted a request for my password using my current (and correct) e-mail address, I was able to successfully log into my S@H account. Thanks for the help. |

What About User ID and Account Key?
(Message 91720)
Posted 28 Mar 2005 by joekc6nlx Post: Since my old e-mail address is dead, and I can't recall my S@H Classic password, is there a way to use my User ID and Key to track that information down? I don't know when/how I got my password changed, and I thought I had it written down somewhere, but can't find it. Thanks. |

Now as to why the B icon did not show in > the systray, that I do not know. I don't believe you understood my problem. BOINCManager literally froze and stopped working for no apparent reason. When I would try to open it by right-clicking on the icon in the System Tray, it wouldn't respond. When I clicked on the shortcut icon on the desktop, it opened a brand new instance of BOINCManager and added another BOINCManager icon to the system tray. I am participating in SETI@Home and Einstein projects, and version 4.25 just doesn't like my computer, whereas version 4.19 runs just fine, analyzing both SETI and Einstein. > |

the upgrade to 4.25 does not work for me
(Message 88927)
Posted 21 Mar 2005 by joekc6nlx Post: I upgraded to 4.25 from 4.19 a couple of weeks ago. It seemed to work fine for a while, but then I started noticing that it would hang up and wouldn't respond to my mouse or keyboard commands. When I opened Windows Task Manager, it showed 3 processes that were all Boincmanager.exe. Only after closing these tasks, and rebooting my computer, could I get the system to work again. Repeated attempts to open Boinc Manager only resulted in opening a new window, putting a new Boinc Manager icon in the taskbar, and not closing out the first instance of Boinc. I have a Pentium 4, 2.8GHz, 512MB Ram, running Windows 2000 Professional. I had uninstalled 4.19 before I installed 4.25, but 4.25 just doesn't seem to like my computer. I've uninstalled 4.25 and gone back to 4.19 and everything is working fine. |
