Oh yeah. This is the last tech news item for the month, so after much anticipation (not) the thread title theme this month is revealed: names of cats I lived with throughout my life, some adored, some not so much.

I guess I am the same way with my cats. I named mine after comedians. I have two 8 year old cats George and Gracie (George Burns and Gracie Allen) and one 6 year old cat Bob (Bob Hope). Bob gives the two older cats no end of trouble. But I wish I could clone him. But I think he is so much trouble he answers to Jesus Christ before he answers to Bob. Thanks for the hard work guys! I took my laptop to Chicago during a recent trip just so I could crunch on the hotels power. LMAO!

I am very sorry to say I cannot donate at this time as much as I would like to. I am lucky to keep my electricity on at the moment. I wish I could donate programming time to the cause. At least if I run out of units my electric bill will decrease. If situation improves I will send some bucks your way.

Hm...

Weird. I "downgraded" from drivers 181.22, because I CANNOT play left 4 dead with them. The game was stuttering heavily and crashing (after random periods, sometimes 10 minutes sometimes 2 hours) before I disabled "multicore rendering."

I did not see where this question was asked...... Were you running seti CUDA at the same time? You should not run graphics intensive apps and seti CUDA at the same time.
5) Questions and Answers : GPU applications : CUDA only? (Message 863123)

This is one case where the BOINC 'bug' of not sending CPU and GPU versions of the same application actually works as a 'feature' for the scenario you describe.

Well, the "bug" seems to be gone in 6.6.4. Just my luck. I keep getting 6.03 units as well as 6.08.

In the interest of fairness, I think it's about time this particular CUDA bug was paid some attention.

Brodo

I have seen this error also. My CUDA units claim a certain amount of credit. The credited amount is almost always lower......

I am in a kind of strange situation where I really need to run CUDA units only and nothing on my CPU's. Is it possible to only run CUDA?

Motherboard : Intel DG965RY
Processor : Intel Core 2 2.13
Memory : 4gb PC8500
OS : WIndows 7
Video : Nvidia 8800GT 512

If you know what it means to be a ham and not just an amateur radio operator this group may be for you. If you remember what the term "elmer" means, this group may be for you. If you are into politics and things not related to the pursuit of the ham radio hobby, this group is NOT for you.....

11) Questions and Answers : Windows : my Recent average credit will be decreased day by day, why? (Message 759337)
Posted 27 May 2008 by Profile Scott Amerland (N5ZOW)
Post:
So while waiting for that credit to be given, the natural decay on the RAC will let it go down. Still nothing to worry about as it'll go back up when a lot of those tasks will get credit.

The average is determined over what span of time?
