Thank you for the responses & links.

Question, "RAC: 90", is that good , bad, or ugly

My next task is to figure out how to create total stats box. I'll search the FAQ for that. Unless someone has a short cut I can use. (hint hint)

Thanks again.

Silly question, How am I really doing ?

I've been trying to figure out how I'm actually doing on performance & ranking.

With old seti, had a reference page that showed current standings with other users.

Also, I don't see my ranking from old seti listed yet.

Thanks for any input.

Now that Seti is back up, hope those that were angry, are now happy.

It wasn't that bad after all.

I've been reading the various posts, many of you are taking it much to personal. (IMHO)

Even to the point of saying kill the designers.

Come on guys, take a chill pill. Let you computer run with Bonic minimized and don't worry about it. Go on with your life.

It's not like you have to keep checking to see if your computer is working on seti every second of the day.

When the problems are fixed, they'll be fixed.

The programmers need to spend more of their time fixing the problems than answering all these messages, let alone worrying about threats.

I'm ready for all the flames, but before you do, step back and take a breath, think about how your about to react.

Instead of bitching about it, go outside & enjoy the day. Don't let this temporary outage ruin your life. Step away from the keyboard and enjoy life.

Peace.

I have a Compaq Presario 2100 Laptop, Althlon XP2200 1.79 GHz. (don't laugh)

Is there a s/w program that will report the CPU temp ?

My fan runs about 3/4 speed, occasionally slows down for a few min. When it was running the classic verision, the fan ran faster.

Thank you for any info.

Have you set BOINC to 'Network activity based on preferences'

Right click BOINC 'B' in taskbar to see and select. Or under Commands menu in manager.

Yes, I had 'Network activity based on preferences' already set.

Are you on dialup, DSL, ???
Try posting some errors from the messages tab and maybe someone can help.

No, I'm on cable. Using a linksys wireless router & card.

Following message dump, I think I reset the computer since the last error messages showed up. (Will post again, after the next occurrence)

Switched over from Classic last night, got the following message, not once, but it kept beeping & opening many message boxes.

"Boinc Manager - Network Status
Boinc failed to disconnected from the internet."

This happened four separate times so far. Any ideas ?

Thank you for any information.
