P.S Use r7.0 client it's faster that 8.1 =))

I think it's becouse your notebook is overheating. Some CPU's slow down when they get too hot ( i know this happens with P4 dont know about AMD in notebooks) I think that the CPU get's too hot and reduces the clock to 1/2 of normal speed that's the reason! :) this option is called thermal-throttling (not sure) in your bios , try to turn it off but dont burn the CPU, check the TEMPS first!!) Becouse last time i was participating Predictor and set it to 5% it was doing 1 hr SETI/ 1 hr Predictor no matter how much share i set to those projects...
