try this!
1. Start task manager and kill all boinc assosiated processes. This includes boinc.exe, boincmgr.exe, boinctray.exe

2.
Download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility package now. (http://download.microsoft.com/download/e/9/d/e9d80355-7ab4-45b8-80e8-983a48d5e1bd/msicuu2.exe)

3. Run this utility , find , and remove Boinc Installation.

4. Install the new version over the old one

everything should work.

Try this:

-->Upgrade your Boinc client into latest Version (6.10.19-6.10.24) here: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download_all.php

-->Create a custom cc_config.xml and wrote inside:

this is just an example!

Now when one of the exclusive applications runs, gpu will be free for it! CPU still crunches in low priority ;)

a checkbox for auto update would be nice... Or at least a notification for the user... We cannot follow the changelog every time and manual checking for a new version is so boring.

I have set Boinc and seti to have 3 days cache. That gives me about 40-60 workunits for my cpu and 20-30 workunits for my gpu.

Today, my cpu workunits will ALL finish.
and my gpu workunits have run out 3 days now..

In Rivatuner make sure 2D AND 3D clocks are your maximum you want. (check if there is a low 3d settings too).

Try this.. Go to the boinc data folder and right click it,select properties and there find permissions tab, there add user "everyone" and allow him to all options (write,read etc),save it. Made the same at both os'es. This will enable full access to both operating systems. Good luck.

Ok because you have a multicore-multithreaded cpu you should try Orthos. It is a program that automatically runs one prime95 thread for each core.. so torture is maximized..

ok now i have 5-6 wus but they are only gpu workunits.. And the question is why only for gpu ? are they different? why my cpu cannot crunch some of them and all are marked as "gpu" ?

There are the messages from my BOINC:
Sending scheduler request: To fetch work.
Requesting new tasks for GPU
Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site
Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down.
Scheduler request failed: Failure when receiving data from the peer


What is wrong? I checked the project status and says all ok..

I dont have any wu for all day now!..

ok indeed lunatics site is down! I remember that green face, i ve used it before!

Now in your site, which do i download? and what's the difference?
SSE2 version for Intel/AMD - With AP v5 r112 & V5.05 r168
OR
32-bit Windows Unified Installer v0.2

I have AMD Athlon64 3800+ running at 2.6Ghz. I remember that SSE2 AMD version was faster a year ago although my cpu has SSE3 instruction set. But now? Should i go for the SSE3 version ?

ps. another question: Do both provide a optimized gpu client? or only cpu?

Back again to Seti and I want again some optimized seti clients (gpu-cpu).
Can you help me ? is there a thread or a way I can run optimized clients again?

Now I am running:
Seti Enhanced 6.03 for my cpu and
Seti Enhanced 6.08 for my gpu.

I want them both optimized! HELP
and THANK you :D
