You have to reboot and then try again. For some reason setup hangs during some program installs but will usually install the same program later, but only after a reboot. Even using Task Manger to shut down setup etc. doesn't help.

Go to http://boinc.berkeley.edu/ where you'll find a list of current projects. You can sign up via the home page and will be given a 32 digit hex number (0-9 and a-f) and a web address. Open Boinc with the show command and go to the Settings menu. Select attach to project. Paste the web adress into Project URL and the 32 digit number in Account ID. The software for the project will then download along with the data.

24) Questions and Answers : Windows : List of WU's includes WU's not done by me (Message 64222) Posted 13 Jan 2005 by PeterColin Post: I have two WU's 7689414 & 7687882 shown on my list of WU's but when I checked them I found that I am not listed on either of them. There is a user listed on both whose name is similar to mine, and appears to have a machine identical to mine, down to disk drive space. I suspect that this is a database error and that I did do these WUs but the wrong person is being listed.

25) Questions and Answers : Preferences : How do you disable the Graphics for more CPU power? (Message 60826) Posted 5 Jan 2005 by PeterColin Post: Yes in Windows go to your desk top. Right click the desktop. Select Properties, at the bottom of the list, select the Screen Saver tab. In the list you can see BOINIC as the screensaver. select any other screensaver or (None). BOINIC will continue to run in the background even if the screen saver isn't running.
