Boinc had real problems finding the project data - translation - most of the time it couldn't find it after a reboot - so I had to uninstall and re-install on Drive C:, and it now works fine.

BOINC uses clear text user id and password to authenticate to the FW. So, you need to enable outgoing requests to use basic as well as integrated security credentials. You do this in ISA Server MMC Console, Servers and Arrays, "Server Name". Right click on the Server name, select Properties, choose outgoing web requests. Select the server name again, and choose edit. You can change the configuration there. Hope that helps!

3) Questions and Answers : Getting started : Proxy requiring authentication - MS ISA (Message 27121) Posted 16 Sep 2004 by Ze'ev Ionis Post: BOINC 4.05; WinXP SP2; Server running Win2003 SBS with ISA 2000. ISA requires authentication. I have put in all the values into the 'Proxy' dialogue. This has included Domain\\username format as well as just username format. I get back message that BOINC was unable to authenticate. The information is correct. Can anyone suggest anything? Would like to, if possible, not change ISA configurations. All other programs work with IE proxy credentials, or with my domain\\username & password combo. Ze'ev ZI

I install BOINC, and provide all the credentials, but am unable to authenticate to my proxy. I have tried the various forms of putting domain\\username and username@domain to provide full qualification, but BOINC still can't authenticate. Is there a fix for this? BOINC v 4.05 ZI

BOINC returns --- - 2004-09-12 22:01:22 - HTTP_OP_SET::poll(): Proxy Authentication Failed I am running WinXP SP2, IE 6, BOINC 4.05, and ISA Server 2000 on Win Server 2003. I've looked at previous posts, but can't really find anything that helps.
