But why are they asking for so many runs? Or is it a big glitch? Seems like the latter since they cannot be validated according to what people have posted.

I've got a bunch of _7's in this last batch on one PC and 4s and 5s on another. What is going on?

*edit* and now some 9s!

Stephen, at this point I don't think it matters. I cannot even upload completed tasks with NNT set.

Scheduler requests are now failing, even with NNT set. Seems like the entire system is starting to seize up.

According to S@H, I finally passed 1,000,000 RAC thanks to the smoke from my GPUs and some Arecibo tasks! Sadly, S@H is about to hit the pause button for some time.

Starting to get "Project has no tasks available."

Looks like the brick fell off the accelerator pedal...

even if we run out of BLC work, it looks like the Arecibo automation is still running. 2 more tapes have been added.

it also looks like they removed any throttling. they put the brick on the gas pedal and let it go! hahaha.

If the database doesn't hold together, we may indeed go out with a bang!

What is the best site to monitor the total work unit processing on the SETI project? I'm curious to see if people have already started shifting CPU and GPUs to other projects or if they're working until the end.

Seems like quite the opposite problem at S@H as of late. I saw the same thing. E@H was like drinking from a fire hose when I allowed new tasks. Must have my cache set too high.

Shut down the project immediately, and don't wait until the end of the month.
It's so screwed up already, and it's no use in putting any more work into something that
should go down shortly anyhow.

Say goodbye to the project now!!

Your positive and supportive posts will surely be missed. Please remember to explicitly cancel your in progress tasks before detaching so we don't have to wait for them to time out.

I just passed the 300,000,000 milestone. Guess that's the last hundred million for this incarnation. :( I'll hopefully move up a few more notches on total point ranking before chewing through my last task.

After 20 years of supporting SETI@Home, this is a milestone. I'm glad there will be a focus on analyzing our results and hope there are some interesting ones to share. Meanwhile, I hope there are other analyzes this global and dedicated group of volunteers can support. Look forward to hearing about those.

Roger

That does sound like an amazing advance! I hope the price is not too scary.
