Going through pages and pages of HTML to parse any information about credit is called stats scraping and is considered much worse than having a dynamic page give you the info directly... Not only this project but most projects will eventually ban or rate-level your IP if you continuously do stats scraping at your maximum bandwidth. You are seriously bringing the limited resources available to the projects to the very limit of their capacity. Janus, I understand very well this. But, for my problem posted above, now we switch off the script and we need to access the site from that IP. However, that script was used only from members of our team, and run only 10/20 times a day. Not many brandwith was used and not much resources are used from the server. But the IP was banned. Now can you unblock it? There are some scripts (posted HERE) for pending credits used from many members that generate a lot of traffic and they are running! Why?

I'm writing here for the question of IP blocking on the webserver of Seti@home. Is the IP 217.133.4.201 in the list of blocked IP? If yes, can you unblock it? It's the PC of my friend, where run a little script for pending credits, but only for our team (than not many traffic is generated). If you say that it's not good, we can turn off the script, but the IP block must be removed to access the website from that PC and visit the site to manage the account. Thanks in advance Matt. Restarting BOINC, the queue of WU disappeared and BOINC continue with the work in cache, but try to DONWLOAD new WU and the download queue has been reformed, with deferring and this error: 21/09/2005 3.23.34\|SETI@home\|Unrecoverable error for result 09no03aa.23825.18768.59646.132_0 (WU download error: couldn't get input files:<file_xfer_error> <file_name>09no03aa.23825.18768.59646.132</file_name> <error_code>-200</error_code> <error_message></error_message></file_xfer_error>) I don't understand why the Wu in transfer do not compare in the Work tab.....what's happening at the scheduler and download server? :( OK, no allarm, problem solved! It was my router! All OK now! Fiuuu :P

Only the assimilator seems to be slow, but it's the first time we see it, maybe it's normal :P Another problem that I have writed some weeks ago, is the difficulty to contact server with slow connection. 56K, GPRS or ISDN (64) needs a proxy to work. But some month ago there was not this problem....Matt what can you say about this? :) Bye! :)
