Since the building is situated on a rocky outcrop 50-60m above sea level, led me to thinking that this might be a lighthouse, and by default such structures are usually far away from urban areas. |

HELP!! Windows 7 problem - System Check
(Message 1208651)
Posted 22 Mar 2012 by Zeus Fab3r Post: Couldn't help but notice that you're still using initial release (403) of bios for your mobo. It never hurt to update to latest version (1302) especially when some sort of problem is present. It may not solve it, but in any case you should have some benefits. You don't need a floppy, try using ASUS Update V7.17.06 to update bios from within windows. I did that countless times without any problems. Of course the usual conditions for such procedure must be met. Another easy way to upgrade is from bios itself. These days it may be smarter not to use flopies at all, except if you just walk out of the store with brand new drive and pack of discs and even then you wont be 100% sure. |

Posted 21 Mar 2012 by Zeus Fab3r Post: I don't think so, 275.50 seems to operate correctly like 266.58 does, You could try 266.58 or 275.50 and see if one or the other will fix Yer problem. Posted 20 Mar 2012 by Zeus Fab3r Post: get Malawarebytes installed and updated / and whatever the AV you like. ComboFix did wonders for me in the past and it's proven to be a major painkiller for that type of crap. I always gave it a chance before I start reinstall everything from scratch. |

Out with the multi-GPU motherboard...
(Message 1208095)
Posted 20 Mar 2012 by Zeus Fab3r Post: I think those light peak boxes or a vidock might be more cost effective. That's a nice thing to have if you want to empower your laptop, but is there any cost effective solution for desktop people who doesn't have the means (i.e. myself) to upgrade their motherboards (and anything else that might came along with it) to enjoy multi-GPU environment? |

Updating for upcoming apps.....
(Message 1205592)
Posted 13 Mar 2012 by Zeus Fab3r Post: ... How does one run opti apps for GPU MB and stock apps for CPU AP ? You can download stock app (link is for Windows/x86), copy the file to your project folder and edit app_info accordingly. I did that when AP 5.05 came to life. Tho, I'm not sure if you'd need ap_graphics_6.01_windows_intelx86.exe and 3 other related text files. OTOH, it would probably be wise to listen what Eric and Richard have to say about it :-) |
