Have you looked at your app_info file

If you used the one that came with the download, you will only get 5.03 wu's. You need to merge it with your existing app_info file so that you continue to get MB units as well as astropulse.
There are plenty of people more qualified than me who can help you with that..

It's not about app_info. It is about the fact that when I tick the option to receive AP 5.03, I am receiving ONLY those units on ALL my computers. When I tick that option off I am receiving MB and occasionally AP 5.0 WU.
It is about the way the servers assign WU's - there are "biased" towards sending AP 5.03.

I cannot process this kind of units because every time that I select in options to process them, I do receive ONLY this kind of units, rendering useless my GPU/CUDA.
A change in the policy is needed to prevent hogging of the Boinc by those units. If you want to process this kind of units, leave the original SETI units to live too...

I have just installed Vista x64 and V10 x64 apps (C2D with GF9500, 4GB). I don't get any more WU's...
The last messages of Boinc manager (latest version) are:
Fetching scheduler list
Master file download succeded

LE: Installed ver 10b and all's good. For now. Thanks.
Dang it, I got only AP v5.03 now... no nice CUDA for me I guess...

You can select not to process those units in your account page. Too bad that many of those units are discarded by people interested in RAC more than seti.

Would it be possible to break down the current budget element of $80,000 for the network upgrade a bit further, so we can see where the other $77,000 would go?

Is that cable the kind that burries himself? And eventually terminate also in the fiber patch panel? :)
Now, digging would not cost too much - if you can do it by renting a "Dich Witch" and a smart contractor, but if pavement is in the way, things start to get ugly.
And yes, you need to know what is burried already there so you don't dig thru electrical cables or irrigations.

Startingthis weekend, the processing speed has decreased significantly and my graphics and screen refresh rate are being effected. I run AP units OK, but regular Seti units have taken a big hit.
Looks like the CUDA app is still not working like it should.

Only now the CUDA is working, when the graphics on the PC are really slowed down. AP units do not make use of CUDA.

But the other prob is, that you need a case with enough space on the bottom..
And 8 slot-openings..

Maybe I will modify my current rig..

Or there are more rigs out there with 8 slot-openings?

There are some server cases that will have 8 ATX slots (or more), something like this.

Mine took 12.5 hours on a E4300 @ 2.4GHz and received 750 credits: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=394288523. It did estimate the same 240 hours when it came.

Just look for the units that took a short CPU time and have granted higher credits.
Then in the unit itself you will see the GPU used and other things.

If your wingman will use his GeForce GTX 260 for that unit (CUDA overclaims too, but nothing like that) you will get a bonus there...

The average speed after a few units increased just a little bit - from 3200 to 3000 sec/unit... So in my case the CPU feeds ok the GPU even in the case of CPU+1 units running. But I have only a GF 9500GT.

I have the first unit. The temperature is the same (don't know why) but the time is at 1700 sec now. I will test some more. WinXP here.

I don't belive that, because the temperature of the GPU is as high as it can get either with the config set for 2 CPU or for 2+1 CPU (I have a C2D). When I exit from Crysis (BOINC stopped of course) the GPU temp it is the same as during cruncing.
I have a baseline now - 3000-3200 sec for a 42 credit unit. I will try for a day with 2 CPU so one of the cores will be dedicated feeding the GPU.

I found it kind of amusing that when they first tried rolling the change out and it was broken, it was showing 'Bull' in the column. It sure is! :-D

It was doing that only with IE, with Safari was showing the proper bullets :)

How does that page play on smaller screens?

Well, change the resolution on your screen, it is still posssible even with the LCD's. It won't look crisp, but...

Asa you saw, everything eventually crushed last night... Some of the servers are up now, but are over 500k units waiting on the server now.

That's a good exemple of short-sighteness. The fact that SOMETHING is wrong with some of the servers can have a spillover effect to the others. And to the project as such.
Sometimes you don't have to wait till something really wrong happens, it's called preventative maintenance.

NVidia answer to a similar question is here.
Looks like you can have multiple different cards in a system as long as you have enough PCI-E slots.
