Which gpu is faster for crunching seti?
A GTX 285 (1242 ram) with 240 cuda cores, or a GTX 460 (1024 ram) with 336 cuda cores?

the 460 crunches real good.

or look at the little popup telling you that you have notices.

Recently I started to have too many ‘’errors while computing’’ on my cpu at rig 5867601.
All tasks end with error at exactly 1:43:58. I already restart and set 8 threats from 9.
Cpu cooler is clean is clean.

Anyone else with same problem?

Get Fred's Rescheduler and use it to inoculate against -177 errors, you don't have to do any recheduling, just tick the Box to fix -177 errors,
then on the Seti EH tab do a test, then a run, the log tab will say how many Wu's were fixed.

Has the team been sending out crap just to fill in our time??
My tasks have 977 invalid, 664 error and 2988 pending. I don't think my numbers have ever been this high before. Anyone know whats up with that??? Also my RAC has dropped from 29,000+ to 10,000-, Again anyone tell what's wrong?

I checked your first 10 errors also. you have a lot of -12 and -177.

Today i notice that my computer with id 5867601 has too many invalids.
Is this normal? This is caused by the wu's, or something with my gpus?

How many WUs are you running on each GTX295 (device 5)?
I was having the same or similar errors until I reduced the number of WUs on my GTX460SE. I seems that with the increased vram and the high GPu usage that was causing a lot of the errors that I was getting, expecially when using the machine for anything else. I also have unchecked the box to use the GPU when the computer in is use. This allows me to use the machine for other purposes, such as games, crusing the internet, etc.

I would also check to see if there are any dust bunnies that might be causing your card to run warm to hot and that could also cause errors. Even though it is air cooled dust can still accumulate in the radiator behind the fan. or the fan blades might need cleaning.

I doubt any ATi chip will be at the top or even near the time anytime soon. With all due respect to Raistmer and his fine work, the app isn't nearly as robust and refined as the nVidia app is.

For example, my friend's Core i7 970x with an nVidia GTX 560 Ti is getting about a 9,000 RAC with the GPU alone.

My Core i7 960 with an ATi Radeon HD 6970 is only getting about 3,300 RAC, or 1/3 of the processing power.

I don't think adding a top-of-the-line ATi Radeon HD 6990 would allow me to catch up to his upper-mid-grade nVidia chip.

I´m doing 15000+ with my 5850 for example.
Much more if running AP only.
