That chip has a top limit of 72C. I'm running a 3Gig E8400 oc'd to 4.1Gig and with SETI running both cores at %100 my core temp is only 66c. It has also settled at an average of 1.5hrs per work unit. I havent even installed any modified flies yet. I wanted to get a baseline to see how much faster a work unit will run once I install them If you post a more detailed discription of your hardware and how you have your BIOS set I may be able to help out.
