Part of the problem is not necessarily overpopulation, but an unequal sharing of resources. Half the world is starving to death while the other half is dying of obesity and related diseases. When oil runs out, we'll replace it with something else, even if it means going back to horse and wain.
Now, I don't know that space exploration will help or not, but I, for one, would love to emigrate to a half-G world and give my aching bones a rest.
I dunno...

We had about a foot of snow last weekend and a couple of inches today. I went for a nice sail around the harbour on new year's day though.
Glenn.

PS... This thread is just me poking fun... and you jabbed me twice there, so I guess it's not that far off topic.

The Seven Deadly Sins...

Pride... My army training taught me otherwise.

Avarice... I heard of Ava Gardner, but not Ava Rice.

Envy... I guess you're not supposed to want to better your situation.

Wrath... Well, that one killed Khan.

Lust... Might as well be dead...

Gluttony... I guess he never looked at the animal kingdom very closely.

Sloth... What do those three-toed creatures have to do with any of this?
