Hi Gordon, I can relate to your situation. My father is behaving the same way.
I've always been close to him and had heard many stories about his childhood, but I am now hearing more of his "personal thoughts and moments" from those early years amongst his ramblings. Thankfully he still has his lucid times, but unfortunately they are becoming fewer. Hang in there, and I wish you and your family well.

Some times it is closer to eight degrees difference.

Nice sun to-day.....

Come on global warming!

That's the saving grace - at least its sunny.

Thankfully it had warmed up to -30C by the time I got up this morning.
You must have been at least 5C colder.

Very nice avatar. :~)

Thank you.
One of those right time/right place shots. Wish it was taken with a much better camera.

I was wondering who did that (put away shovel). Woke up in the morning and started calling my friends to find out who to blame for the snow. At least I have my answer now.

The way things are going here, we won't see those until May or June!
There's a bit of sarcasm in that statement but quite a bit of truth sadly.

Just came back from a friends place south of Spruce Grove. Thermometer in my van was reading -32.5C out there and warmed up to a balmy -24C in the city - lets not forget the lovely wind chill. Don't know if I can make it till the thaw next week! I enjoy winter, but this one is grating on my nerves. Tired of dressing like a polar bear to do some work outside!

Running out of room to pile the snow!
Tired of shovelling and the cold, it's been a long brutal winter here.

Try this when computer is on it's side and running.
Start at power cord - wiggle it and make sure its seated well.
Next wiggle wires coming out of power supply - be carefull not to ground yourself.
Try wiggling power connector to motherboard (by the wires).
Do any of these duplicate the problem?

Have you tried connecting just the mobo and hard drive only and testing?

I know it sounds oversimplified and goofy, but seems like it's worth a try at this point.
Good luck!

Ohh pick me pick me!
Calgary Alberta Canada...
Currently -27°C
With a bunch of snow on the ground (1-2 ft)
More snow on the way!

Ya, I'm in that same boat, but 300 Km north. We've had this crap for over a week now!
Great for me business wise, but a pain in the rear driving around.
Looks like the same garbage untill the end of the week. I heard that
the police have registered about 250 collisions in the past 3 days, yet most
morons around here continue to speed. They're not roads anymore, but
skating rinks.

I've read the size as possibly being between a chair and a desk, but I seriously doubt it was 12 meters in diameter (the size of a 3 story townhome?).

That'd make a pretty big hole. Say the size of Meteor Crater AZ? No way.

That's what I thought too. I'll try and find the article.
They must be talking about it's original size, before it broke up.

Here it is.

"The rock seems to have flown in the general direction east of Red Deer and west of Saskatoon and appears to be about 18 metres or larger, he added."

Looks just like a sunset.

Thats not the sun though. 5:30pm at this time of year here, its already dark.
The flash of light it let off when it broke up was unreal.
Latest info I've heard, they figure it may have been up to 12 meters diameter.

I was extremely lucky to see this as I left a customers place. Night sky lit up. I've seen low level meteorites before, but this was very bright.

Mike, I have the same issue with an old system of mine.
It's the hard drive. Once I let it rest for an hour, it
boots up again without issue. Has never affected my data,
just needs to rest (its an oldtimer). Next time it gives
you problems, disconnect the hard drive and boot from CD/DVD
to confirm.
