Default browser problem

Post: Call me crazy, but I like Crazy Browser which uses the IE engine and most other programs will find it as my default browser. Since BOINC the Manager interface will open in IE or Firefox, but not IE and worse still IE can not Open a Link in a New Window ... in otherwords it is forced to allow only one instance. I'm runing the latest 5.2.13 BOINC on Windows XP home SP2 fully patched. Any suggestions? |

Post: I'm sorry I still don't like the Seti@home since it went to BOINC (though I met some nice friendly folks over at Einstein@home whose servers appear to be working better than seti's |

Go back to the classic SETI software

I had problems when it came out and I switched back to Classic, left the project for a month and returned 5 days ago and though I have completed some work, it appears I've spent almost as much time trying to upload or download as I have crunching. I know I've spent a lot more troubleshooting time than I did with Classic, so I question the BOINC works premise. PS I hate these boards and the website is from hunger. |

My account is setup, but the 500 error is at Berkley though it appears in other places things are functional -- in fact it isn't. |

Website slow, upload/download issues (Jan 15th)

Post: The problems wasn't caused by that thread but by a congestion in the database. Theoretically the software should be able to handle threads of any lenght (your browser is the limit...) but I think that the mentioned thread is pure waste of storage resources... Say wha? Sorry, these message boards stink and the website stinks and BOINC stinks. As far as I can tell, the system (at Berkeley is working) and my computer is working with a DSL always on connection which is working and I'm spending hours with no new downloaded work though apparently it assigned a unit. |
