Ok, Let's go,

Add Emilio González, or Offler, pls. The one you prefer :-)

Certainly they don't deserve such insults. They just try to do their job, and this is a complicated project with the goal to ease distributed computing.

5) Questions and Answers : Wish list : Resource sharing in client (Message 17039)

I would like to be able to distribute my projects resource sharing in the client program. This way you don't need to spend time through several websites to set the right values in each project.

Also this would allow to have different priorities in different computers.

Also I would like that the resource sharing was working in different way. I'll try to explain.

Right now, if you have 33% Seti@home, 33% Predictor and 33% Climate prediction it would take one month processing a single CPDN unit :( . During this month it would not process any Seti or Predictor wus (so no credits). After that it would spend two months processing Seti@home and Predictor.

If would be better, I guess, if BOINC was able to process 33 minutes of Seti@home, 33 minutes Predictor and 33 minutes Climateprediction (minutes or hours) saving the current process of each unit and resuming when going back to that project.

I know it could take 3 months to process a single Climate unit ... but it's not our fault that they make so big wus ;-)

Astroseti is hispanic team (well, it's more than a team), but our story I think is quite interesting for anyone willing to know what can a Seti@home become.

Our team is not one of the oldest ones, as it was founded in January 2002, but last march we made a poster presentation at NASA's Ames Research Center invited by Nasa Astrobiology Institute.

You can read about Astroseti.org story at http://www.astroseti.org/what.php

Well I thought this would be a nice story for CAFE SETI
